3. My regular PCA is going on vacation in a week. I don’t have a replacement. What can I do?
When you and your skills trainer first started talking about the PCA program, you worked on a PCA back-up plan to help when you have PCA problems. Check this plan first. If the names there aren’t helpful, take a minute. Do you have a friend, a parent, a child, or relatives who could fill in?
Please Note: MassHealth does contract with Home Health Agencies to fill in for your PCA, if you been trying to hire PCAs, but were unsuccessful. Contact Stavros’ member services for a list of participating home health providers.
