2. Can a PCA get Paid Overtime?
I’ve got two PCAs. What happens when one can’t work and the other one has to work more than 40 hours in a week? Can they get paid overtime?
MassHealth will only pay the overtime rate for hours worked over 40 per week and if it is an emergency. You may be asked to demonstrate, to MassHealth satisfaction, that you made an earnest attempt to identify another PCA who is under 40 hours to work.
